DESIGNER, GARDENER, DANCER
With over 30 years of professional practice in Houston, Seattle and Portland, Flora is passionate for what she does. She is an experienced landscape architect in a diverse range of projects, from parks and gardens to urban design and master planning. Her vision to achieve a balance of biology, community and artistry has helped many projects become successful.
Originally from Taiwan, Flora graduated from University of California, Berkeley with a master’s degree in landscape architecture. Her passion for dance, music and art has inspired her imagination in design and helped her understand spatial continuity, sense of movement and a totality of experience in her projects. She has given talks on Dance Form and Landscape Architecture at University of Houston, University of Washington, University of Kentucky, National Taiwan University and Fu-Jen University.
Flora is a toastmaster and has experience in facilitating public meetings for park, school and streetscape projects. She understands the effective dynamics to engage communities and build consensus.
